Miss Mouse Rabbit Dress, XS
Vintage collector Miss Mouse dress. Alongside Vivienne Westwood, Rae Spencer Cullen was considered part of the avant-garde London design scene. A darling of UK Harper's Bazaar, her designs were often featured in the magazines 1970s editorials. She specialized in 1950s kitsch revival and this rabbit appliqué is a rare example.
Miss Mouse clothing is recognized as collectible and museum worthy. Both the Victoria & Albert museum in London, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art have pieces in their collections. Her work has also been featured in the Pop! exhibition at the Fashion and Textile Museum in London.
The dress is made of different types of cotton and features button front with covered buttons, also found on the cuffs. The bodice is fitted with a square, low neckline. The circle skirt is embellished with contrast fabric trim.
Flaws: There is some discolouration on the face and pants of Mr. Rabbit.
